Consultancy commission for an Employers Agent to assist Welsh Government develop next stages of the A483 Llandeilo and Ffairfach Improvements scheme
Welsh Government have awarded an Employer’s Agent commission to Arcadis Consulting (UK) Limited.
The National Transport Delivery plan, published in February 2023, reaffirmed our commitment to continue work on options to progress the A483 Llandeilo bypass scheme.
In 2024 the Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales approved the preferred option and agreed to commission consultants to develop the next stage of the Project.
Following the appointment of its Employer’s Agent, Welsh Government will now move to procuring a contractor to design, finalise the business case and draft orders in relation to the scheme.
Subject to successful completion of statutory processes, which will likely involve a public local inquiry, construction work could commence in 2029.
