Super Suki making her predictions for the upcoming Euros

To celebrate the Women’s European Championships starting this week, Dogs Trust Cardiff has embraced football fever, with the whole rehoming centre woofing for Wales to celebrate their first major tournament appearance.

But it isn’t just the staff getting in on the action, with one four-legged fan taking on the important role of match predictor…

To drum up as much support for Wales as possible, Suki the Lurcher has been predicting the outcome of Wales’ group stage games, using her scent training ability to find out who will be going for gold in Wales’ upcoming games against the Netherlands, France and England.

Having predicted a one – one draw against the Netherlands on Saturday, the energetic and friendly Suki hopes that a football and dog loving fan will see her predictions and be in the market for the standout striker she is. Suki can live with teenagers aged 16+ and is looking for a home she can call her own and settle into at her own pace.

With Suki’s predictions for Wales’ games against France and England being shared on social media in the coming days, Dogs Trust Cardiff hopes this summer will be one to remember for the team, the dogs and the nation.

Kim Davies, Manager at Dogs Trust Cardiff, said: “All of us here at Dogs Trust Cardiff are giving a huge ‘pob lwc Cymru’! We couldn’t resist getting into the spirit of the Women’s Euros, and the dogs have absolutely loved it.

“Suki has taken her role as tournament predictor very seriously, almost as seriously as we are about finding her a forever home! We’re hoping that our support will bring a smile to people’s faces and maybe even find Suki some fans who are willing to give her a chance in a loving home.”
