| Young people across Caerphilly county borough are being encouraged to make the most of a series of free career events taking place this summer, offering expert advice and guidance on education, training and employment opportunities. The events are designed to support young people who are considering their next steps after school or college. Whether they’re thinking about sixth form, further education, apprenticeships or entering the world of work, attendees will have the opportunity to receive impartial advice from experienced Careers Advisors. A mini ‘Which Way Now?’ event will also give young people the chance to meet local businesses, colleges and training providers, helping them explore the wide range of opportunities available across the region. The free events will take place throughout August at venues across the county borough: Wednesday 5 August – Rhymney Library Hub, 11am–1pm – Careers Advisor Advice and Support Session Wednesday 12 August – Blackwood Careers Office, 11am–4pm – Careers Advisor Advice and Support Session Wednesday 19 August – Virginia Park Youth Centre, 11am–2pm – Mini ‘Which Way Now?’ event featuring businesses, colleges and training providers Wednesday 26 August – Risca Library, 11am–1pm – Careers Advisor Advice and Support Session The sessions are open to young people who are looking for guidance, have questions about their future, or simply want to find out more about the options available to them.
