Canolfan Eto re-use centre in Nantycaws has extended its opening hours – making it easier for residents to repair, re-use and re-purpose.

Canolfan Eto will now be open from Wednesdays to Sundays from 10am until 4pm.

Repaired, re-used, and re-purposed items are available for purchase at the centre in Nantycaws or online. Residents can also contribute to the project by donating items at our household waste recycling centres (HWRCs).

Eto handles a wide range of items, including wood, garden equipment, bicycles, electronics, furniture, clothing, toys, and more, at designated collection points located in all 4 Household Waste Recycling centres in the county.

Canolfan Eto was set up by Carmarthenshire County Council and CWM Environmental to help create a circular economy in Carmarthenshire, keeping items in use for longer and all the benefits that brings. The project is funded by the Welsh Government Circular Economy Fund.

Aled Vaughan Owen, Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Decarbonisation and Sustainability said:

As Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Decarbonisation, and Sustainability, I am thrilled to announce the extended opening hours of Canolfan Eto re-use centre. This initiative not only makes it more convenient for our residents to engage in sustainable practices but also strengthens our commitment to a circular economy in Carmarthenshire.

By encouraging repair, re-use, and re-purposing of items, we are taking significant steps towards reducing waste and protecting our environment. I invite everyone to visit Canolfan Eto, whether to purchase quality refurbished items or to contribute by donating items they no longer need.”
