Responding to the news that First Minister Eluned Morgan has announced her new cabinet, the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats Jane Dodds MS Said:
“This is a very disappointing set of cabinet appointments from the new First Minister which highlights Welsh Labour’s lack of ambition.
I am personally disappointed not to see a Minister for Babies, Children and Young people which is desperately needed to help us tackle child poverty.
For over twenty years now, we here in Wales have been forced to put up with the same old ‘steady as she goes’ approach from a series of Welsh Labour governments that have routinely failed to hit the mark.
The people of Wales deserve more than what the Welsh Government has offered them, which is sadly just a set of recycled politicians trying out the same old ideas that didn’t work then and will not work now”.
