Safe to sleep in Car Seat

It’s fine for baby to fall asleep when travelling in a car seat, however they should be taken out as soon as you get home or to your destination, and placed onto a firm, flat surface in a cot or Moses basket to sleep. Most manufacturers and safety experts recommend a maximum period of 2 hours in car seats.

Remove hats and outdoor coats when you get in the car to make sure your baby doesn’t get too hot. Ideally, keep them in sight of an adult by using a mirror or having an adult sit in the back with them.
